Accessibility
of
Faculty
Faculty sign      Without having to be an expert in the field, one may easily note that the faculty building is to a large extent not accessible to people having some form of physical disability. Gh.S.L. has therefore embarked on a project to take some remedial action.
Precincts office proved very helpful and has already put non-slip tape on the stairs leading down to the faculty building. It will also be making available ramps, handlebars and railings for the area outside the building itself. The Buildings office on the other hand will be providing handlebars near notice boards. All these things should have been in place by 1st October 2002. Use may also be made of the lift present at faculty (at least when it isn't out of order - its been so for the past few weeks, hasn't it?). We therefore ask all law students, who do not need to make use of the lift, to refrain from doing so, so as to avoid technical faults to the detriment of those who have to make use of the lift (Too late). Negotiations are also under way to make the lift suitable for visually- impaired individuals.
